Great video.  Hopefully, it will help others with the same problem.  Those old Detroits are simple engines just not too much room to work.

Thanks for all your comments.  That bus amazes me every time it starts up.  It doesn't look like it could make it to the store, but he has taken it from Vermont to Alabama and back, twice.  I think the engine must have been rebuilt at sometime, like the comment above about no smoke.  He has been working on the prime problem between classes and work and other projects for about a year, so it had not been run in that time.

I am always searching youtube for bus conversion and two stroke video's.... Last year I happened up on the two or three that you son did with his MC5, one I think was on one of the trips to Alabama.  Always enjoyed watching them.

Yup, that was his and Robs video, what an adventure.  I was born in the back of a Texaco station and raised by grease monkeys.  One of my first lessons was how bad it is for business if your a mechanic and your ride breaks down beside the road, so today I have this phobia of breaking down beside the road.  But my son did not get that early conditioning and thinks nothing of breaking down, if fact, that makes it all the more fun for him.  Sometimes I think he just cant wait for something to give.
