Dear Friends,

I know several of you have had similar experiences with a close family member recently.
We arrived back from our missions trip to Nicaragua Tuesday afternoon. My Mom, Beth Wilson, had a massive stroke the night before. She is 81, and has not been in good health over the last 22 months, since her last stroke. Her entire left side is paralized. She has no speech, nor can she even open her eyes. She only manages to squeeze our hands in response to questions. The MRI shows her entire right brain has no function. Mom and Dad have served as missionaries in Mexico since 1956 (when I was just 6 months old.) Please remember her and our family in your prayers!

Thanks in advance!

I can assure that you and your mom are in my prayers. She may not understand why the Lord allows such things to happen at this time. Just ask him to help you and her to understand that he works all things out and the he never stops loving and caring for all of us.

Sure, Steve. I will pray that she gets better soon.

Steve, we will certainly keep you and your family in our prayers.  Wish there was something I could say to help you through this difficult time.  Jack

Thanks a million to all for your prayers and good wishes! We brought Mom home yesterday in the ambulance. The doctors are amazed that she is talking (not easy to understand, for sure!) and she can write on a pad what she wants.

A serious blessing that she can communicate her love with you.  Stay strong.  God bless.
