It's in Coldsprings, I guess near Houston. I've sent an email and am waiting on a reply. If it passes muster, would someone be available to do a walk around for me? I'd be grateful for any help. This is the first non-local bus that I have looked at seriously. I am VERY new to the bus thing.
Thanks in advance.

Why would you ever need or use a 20KW genset in a bus that's built for RV use? Maybe 5 or 6 Roof Warts and a couple of house refrigerators? Have him take $9K off the price, pull the genset and then offer him $10K cash at most. ( I would start at $7K).

The reasoning is this:

RV's are set up for 50a from each leg of a 240V circuit. (Usually, you'll never use 240V in an RV). If you need more than that amount of power, your friendly, happy, campground manager is going to ask you to either leave, or pay for that power... and they won't have anything to handle your needs.
If you try to run your genset to supplement your power requirements... you WILL be asked to leave. No one wants to listn to it, smell it or have the problems associated with the grid tie.

This is from a campground management team that have had to ask a few to leave when they had to run a genset because the park power was over taxed.

Otherwise.. the 102A3 is still too much.

Just my opinion.

Sorry if it blows out your dreams.

The genset certainly wasn't the draw here. The skin looks pretty clean so no major body work would be needed, something that I am totally incapable of doing. I like the 102", some of the 96" coaches I've looked at seem very claustrophobic. I got a reply from the owner and it sort of sounds like it's going to require far more interior work than I wanted to deal with. Thanks for the input. I'm venturing into some seriously unknown territory here and anything I can learn from those who've been there helps me tremendously.

John;  major concerns when purchasing are engine condition- transmission-on a used converted coach like this. get a bus nut like Dallas to look at it. Another factor is tire age. Could be a 6grand$ investment if they are to old (they might look good ) dry rot is a hidden enemy.Dallas knows Busses
