The State of Michigan has an online petition to urge President Bush to cap excessive gasoline profit. It is sponsored here by Michigan's Governor. Republican or Democrat, high prices are hurting us all.

I know what you mean. According to the Michigan website ExxonMobile made over $36 BILLION profit. As a small business person I firmly believe that every company needs to make a profit, but that's extreme. The government regulates how much profit utility companies make. Why not the oil companies. Somebody needs to do something. Maybe this will work, maybe not. But we need to try.

Part of the problem is that there are so many states that require a different blend of fuel. If it was the same across the country fuel prices would go down.  The BIG rip off is the price of diesel..for @ dollar you spend 26% of it is profit.....
