It's hard to believe how low the prices on converted coaches has fallen. Take a look the interior, there is a lot of hours just in the wood work. It has roof airs, very unusual for that time frame. I don't know anything about this coach, I just saw it on Ebay and thought some of you nuts that have been shopping for a converted coach would like to know.

That is a beautiful coach!!! If that thing sells for 50k, I'm going to kick myself for not having the extra cash to buy it. I bet that it will sell for a lot more than that though. If not, we are all doomed. :'(  We can kiss our investments good by.

You know Clifford,
I use to think a house was an investment, I invested in them for 20 years now. There was a time when I would make money on them. Now on the four I have left, I have lost a total of 200k just in the last two years. I know a bus is no investment, but what we do have into them is just depreciating every day. Next thing you know, you will have to pay someone to take them off our hands.

Early 90's CC's there is many many others out there like it.

Big drawback for that vintage is all the switch panels about the cockpit are backlit in lighting that is all soldered together in gangs and when 1 goes out you have to desolder are rebuild the entire panel.

PINA

The power meters are calibrated so small you need a magnifying glass to read them.

I can do without the house talking computer or often referred to as the bitch in the box they interfaced a great deal of the chassis d/c wiring thru it and it creates problems.

For a prevo conversion they were lacking in fit and finish in the bays.

They also did not come with OTR A/C and the house air are cruisair units and this can be a recipe for disaster. The cruise airs do not preform well while underway in extreme heat when they are sucking 150 degree air off of hot asphalt. Many of the CCs versions of "bus air" I come across are not working usually the dash loop remains but nothing else. Cant cool it when you have one like this.

I would NEVER buy a Prevo that has cruisair for the house side combined with no factory OTR A/C. It would have to have roof a/c that would give you guaranteed cold air when you need it most.

People are still spending some big doe for them I know of a 91 CC  that recently fetched 6 diggits and it needed a ton of work

You know Clifford,
I use to think a house was an investment, I invested in them for 20 years now.

In realistic terms, had we rented the last 20 years and put the balance of what we paid in house payments and taxes and upkeep in the bank, at compound interest, we would have a heck of a nest egg right now. Instead, the house, everything we bought, everything we "invested", was for naught.

But even something that loses value can be an investment, it doesnt always have to mean an increase in value or wealth. It can just as easily be an investment in piece of mind, or an investment in fulfilling a dream. Thats how I see the Bus. Its an investment in all of those things, as well as safety, reliability, security, serviceability, pride of ownership. I just feel really bad for the ones who bought them when they were megabucks and now are losing them or cant sell them without taking heavy losses. But everyone who bought in high, regardless whether it was a Bus, or a House, or a Ferrari or Mopar, they are all, no, we are all in the same boat.

Unfortunately it doesnt look like the pendulum will be swinging back the other way for quite a while, and by then we may not have any manufacturing infrastructure left to propel it.

Anybody that would pay a 5 digit number for 1991 CC didn't do much shopping

Are you saying sub $1K ???

Hey, did you get the PM I sent the other day??

Joe Camper

There are many many many of these folks out there.

Savy sellers have figured out nobody can finance them so if they want to get rid of them they are financing the sale  themselves. Many buyers find this same thing out all too soon and when they find a seller willing to take payments they forget everything thinking they are getting a deal and then all kinds of foolish things take place.

Most new to this do not find forums like this till after they purchase their campers. Those of us here are way more informed than your average new to the hobby prevost motorhome buyer, many also have way more disposable cash than the average schnook too ::)

Thats no deal! Friends got one exactly like it last year for way less than that. Of course they put more into it after they got it home but goes to show you there are better deals out there not to mention this model is very common is both interior and exterior!

In case you hadnt noticed Im not a real big fan of CC

That said IMO if that seller lets that bus go for less than 50 he is thrwing money out the window. Even in this market. That is a very very nice motorhome for that kind of doe.

Luverbus if you can get it cheeper than that buy it i will find you a buyer if you will finance it.

There are also many folks who would do just about anything to get one. I have not forgotten who I was as we hunted for the one we ended up with. ;D
