Cruise Control Source

Looking for a source for a cruise control for my coach.
I assume they must be rather easy to find and install.

If that is a DDEC 6v92 take it to dealer and have it turn on ,King also has a cruise for the mechanical engines cost more than others but has better features www.cruisecontrolking.com

Like Clifford said for the DDEC engines, for mechanical engines the two named are the choices.  On is around 300, the King around 900.  I don't believe any of them is a walk in the park as far as installing.  I installed the less expensive one and it took awhile, over 8 hours.  But I am mostly inept.

The King is 600 bucks if you have a air throttle pretty easy install with both they can be hooked to the pedal up front for a cable I would install on the rear at the engine works better mounted there with a cable not a walk in the park it will take some time

I put a King Cruise on my Eagle 10 about 12 years ago. It was a used one from another bus nut and it worked great all that time. I put it on myself with some help from Cruise Control techs. They were very helpful and easy to get along with. It takes a while but you can get it done. Good luck.

I have an air throttle with the V730 that also has the air operated throttle modulator.  Kingcruise recommends mounting the unit in the engine compartment.  But with the air operated transmission throttle modulator, the cruise control would by pass that making for possible rough transmission shifts.  So I mounted it to the gas pedal.  I made a metal plate extension for the gas pedal to get the correct pedal travel required by Kingcruise.  Then made the hole for the pull cable big enough where it could slide when your foot is operating it.  I ran the cable through the floor and mounted the control unit in the cabinet in front of the passenger seat with the cable looping under the floor. I ordered a special speed generator. This was necessary since the transmission's speedo drive was already being used for the speedometer.  They sent a through shaft generator.  I removed the speedo generator, then installed the cruise control generator then reinstalled the speedo generator to the cruise control generator.  Running the new wire from the back to the front was the hardest thing I did.  But what I did was to buy 5 different colored extension cords that I nylon tie wrapped together and ran them from the back to the front.  So now I have several extra wires for more gauges and such if I need them.  The next hardest thing to figure out was why the brake light switch wasn't activating the unit (it senses the resistance in the brake lights then activates the cruise control ready for the brake lights to deactivate it when hitting the brakes).  The reason-my LED brake lights were not creating enough resistance.  The solution was a 100ohm resister between the brake lights and ground.  Then everything worked great.  I'm going to use the Kingcruise again for my truck.  Good Luck, TomC

After an hour of driving my right leg develops a pain in the thigh.  Something like a cramp but with a severe burn.  Cannot be tolerated.  Must stop and stand or walk a short while.  Been that way for years and has something to do with a nerve that passes through a hole in my pelvis. Supposedly it is a common condition but I have yet to hear about anybody else enjoying this condition.  Cruise control and limited daily drive time is a must for me.  I wonder how many others "need" cruise control.
