I am in immediate need of a clutch shaft with a good spline, and the release lever that go's on this shaft. For what it's worth, I have spring assist linkage, not air. I don't know if that makes a difference. The shop in Jackson, MS is also looking for these things. They don't want to reassemble the clutch with that freaking welded shaft/lever.

thanks.

Larry,

I have a 4106 parts transmission(busted case) that has the parts you need on it. The donor bus also had the spring assist "mousetrap" on it, so they should fit. Time might be a bit of an issue, as I'd need to remove the parts, clean them up, package them and take them to UPS. If you have not found another source, I might be able to get them shipped tomorrow. If so, your shop should see them by Friday.

I've sent you a PM.

Bob,
I must say you always seem to have what these guys need for their old GM's. And I'll bet they ain't gonna find 'em nowhere sooner either! (and if it's like Brent's shop was today they got plenty of other stuff to work on to keep busy until they get the parts needed for Larry's bus! Brent & his 2 guys had 5 OTR trucks, a cement mixer, 1 bus and 2 one ton trucks IN the shop today when I dropped of the second bus for him this afternoon!)

Bob and Bryce, I thank you for your offer and kind words but I was able to get the parts overnighted from Luke's. I was informed that Clarke has all the parts, plus the flywheel has been resurfaced. I do know my bill is going to be between $3200 and $3500. The clutch alone was $1,000 (plus shipping).....makes a guy think hard that the next time I might consider chucking the spicer. I expect to have a smooth clutch engagement maybe for the first time in about 7 years....I expect to have ZERO chatter.

Oh, and my tow bill was $880 for the 40 miles from Canton, MS to Jackson, MS. I am sure AAA is in shock when I faxed that bill to them.
