Deaeration line 8 v 71

Hello all does anyone know if the deaeration line is high pressure or will a hose bib work to replace the rotted out line? hard to get to the other end above the tank as cabinetry is in and finished thanks Jim Besett

Are you referring to the fuel return line?  I recall that seeing that term used.

If it is the return line, no, it's low pressure.  I used air brake plastic line to replace mine years ago, I've never had an issue since.

The deaeration line works at the same pressure as the radiator.  It shouldn't be more then 15psi so a clamp type hose should work alright.  Good Luck, TomC

P.S: the deaeration line goes from the top most part of the engines cooling system up to the expansion tank to help expel air bubbles from the cooling system.  Good Luck, TomC
