As I think everyone here is now aware, my crisis last month made the March issue go out VERY late.  Some have just received it, and based on our usual experience with deliveries, many will get it next week and some will get it the following week.  Definitely not good, but the circumstances that caused it were much more tragic.

As an additional consequence the April issue was pushed out as well.  Considering the resulting timing for the April issue, we made the decision to make it the May issue instead of April rather than perpetuate a string of late deliveries. Therefore the April 2011 issue is being skipped.  The content planned for the April issue is now in the May issue and other planned content will move down one month in the schedule.

To make it right for subscribers, one month will be added to every current subscription to offset the absence of an April 2011 issue.  Likewise, all classified ads will be given an additional month for the same reason.  And the same for commercial advertisers that have already paid for the April issue.

So sorry for what you have gone thru....I lost my Mother 8 years ago, she spent the last 6 months of her life in a hospital 70 miles away, I worked nights while my wife stayed with her nights and I stayed with her thru the days while my wife taught 1st Graders and we both commuted back and forth to work . Life can get upside down when you do this but you will never forget the care and comfort you gave her.

I am a new subscriber, I sent in my subscription last month for a first class mail subscription, can I view the online issues as well as get the hard copy? Do I need a password to get to the online issue?

Yes, access to the online edition is available to all print subscribers on request.  PM or email (using the links under my profile to the left of this post) me the password you would like to use to access it (don't post it here).  I will set it up and reply to you with instructions on how to access it.

Same goes for any other print subscribers that don't already have access to the online edition.

Thanks,
Mike

Yes an excellent decision.

The April 2011 edition should be considered " Your tribute to your mom's edition " and she has taken the only copy to heaven with her.

Thanks!!!  I really like that thought.   :) :'( :)

Mike, I don't think anyone would have an issue with this approach.

The only problem I see is that a lot of folks collect the magazine and file them in order.  I suspect that some will get confused about not having an April issue.  Is it too late to label the magazine April/May?

I have said this a couple of times, it does not help when certain  ::) authors miss the deadline.

I totally agree! Good reply!

Mike, don't sweat it! You do what you have to do and everything will be just fine.

Mike,

Thank you for your service and the superb example you set.  Glad to have you back safe and sound.

I took care of my Dad full time for 6 years.  It was my privilege.  Be well and know that you did the right thing and that it pays dividends.
