Two buddies and I drove the MC5C from Invermere, BC to Laughlin, Nev., towing our motorcycles in an inclosed trailer. We parked at the Riverside Casino Camground, and rode all over the area and So California in the warmth and sunshine for 10 days. The bus ran flawlessly. 1 gallon of oil each way (1400 miles each way). We all shared the driving, my two friends are truckers. It was so nice to sit back and enjoy the bus from behind the drivers seat. Lying on  the bed at night over the engine running smoothly on the governor: sweet music after changing the bearings and tuning it up this winter! I am so used to doing all the driving with my wife and kids, it was a treat to be a passenger with drivers you trust.

One day I rode my bike to Boulder City near Hoover Dam to meet Van. He and his wife came to meet me at a gas station, then we went to see his red Eagle. Great to see the 6V92/HT740 install, a lot more space in the bay than in my 5C. The conversion upstairs is in progress about half way done and will be very nice. We talked buses and bikes (Van is a biker too) for a couple of hours. So great meeting a bus nut in person that you've known in cyber space for a few years. I enjoyed it Van! Thank you.

I tried to meet Clifford "Luvrbus" in Needles, but we didn't connect. Next time...

Anyway, great trip, the bus ran good,

Thanks Van! No I hadn't seen that thread. Nice pictures. I should've taken my helmet off for the pic...

Van, like me, used to shoe horses. Small world!

JC -

Did you come thru Fresno on 99 either way to Laughlin?

You know I've always got Pepsi on ice available to share w/ fellow busnuts!

Still working on a steering wheel for the Courier, btw.

Glad you had a good trip and the 5C did what it's supposed to do!

Thanks RJ. We came down 93, and back up on 95. Or I would've certainly called for a visit.
