Looking to install a awning on my MCI 102a3.  Having trouble finding the proper hardware/arms that fit the curve of the roof line.  Have been in contact with Dometic and have been told they no longer offer a curved arm.  Carefree now only offers straight arms.  Would like our awning to be a roll-up type.  Open to suggestions/idea, or if anyone knows where I can find this type of hardware new or used would be greatly appreciated.

On  a mci 8 I had I just dropped the tract for the awning down the side a piece where the side was still straight. Food for thought..On the prevost I curved the awning arms to match side(the windows go higher on prevost)  Bob

Does anybody know what the nice Zips cost? The one that sits all of the way on top, like the nice Prevost have?

Nick? I think you installed a couple...

Thanks.

I have a rounded bus, and I have the Carefree Mirage with no arms. It has multiple wind adjustments, looks and works real good. The 21' on my bus cost 6,000.
You can look at my awning, its in my link below.

I also have Carefree Mirage with no arms and remote control. It was around $4000 delivered in 2008.

I originally planed on having a Zip Dee installed. I phoned the factory sales department and told them I would be in the Mesa area. They told me of one of their dealers that would be able to install it on a bus. When I went there the service manger came  out to look at my 102A-3 said they can't do a bus.  I phoned the factory again they were no help they would ship me one but I couldn't return if the arms didn't fit. They couldn't find a 102a-3 in their books, I be live they had one for a Dl model . Then a friend of ours had just bought a Eagle conversion with a Giraud awning, I really liked the idea of an awning with no arms.

Hi Guy's,

Dometic has stopped offering the curved arms, and the LA03 atuomatic lateral arm awning because of the economy..

As suggested above, just drop the channel down to the drip rail. Done it many times! You will still have

plenty of height and it works just as well. Standard long arms will fit nice.

The Weather pro automatic awning also works well on a bus.
