That looks just like the Fumoto oil drain valve I use.
I use it on my Diesel equipment including my Duramax pickup. I don't have it on the bus yet, but soon to come.
Highly recommended!!

I have one and it works great, no leaks and no mess when you change the oil.  Very convenient when you don't have a pan big enough to hold all of the oil - the valve lets you stop the flow without trying to thread the drain plug back in through a stream of black oil.  Now the bad.  Depending on where the drain plug is located on your engine, the valve can stick down (the ones with a nipple are even longer) which increases the danger that you can run over something, knock the valve off and lose the oil, possibly blowing up your engine.

When ABC Bus changed my oil last year I had them install a Fumoto T-202 in my 6V92.   The tech there definitely likes them, for obvious reasons when he's doing oil changes!   It doesn't hang low enough to be a problem  -  it protrudes only about an inch below the oilpan, and the transmission and differential are a lot lower than the Fumoto anyway.   You shouldn't need the version with a nipple (which hangs down lower)  -  I think they're intended for boats with restricted space under their engines.

So far so good, but I've not yet done an oil change with it.   The only possible downside now is that there's no longer a magnetic drain plug to catch ferrous crud.

Thanks for the great replies, looks like I will be adding one of these at my next oil change. Anyone here with an 8v71 have one? I just want to be sure that part # T-202 is correct of my motor.

Thanks

Looks like a good product. The video makes it look like a pretty easy thing to use. I really liked the girl at 1:33 who looked American or Canadian, but yet sounded very Japanese. I wonder how they did that?

Anybody use these?
Yes! IMHO the FUMOTO valve is the best. I have them on my van, car, and the 8V71 engine in our bus. I put the N style on the bus so I can attach a hose and fill multiple containers.

The Wrico Gen that I have had one already.  Very nice to slide the hose on and flip the lever.

Fumoto will have one that will fit your engine. Just Google Fumoto and give any dealer a call. They will set you up. Around here, all the commercial boats use them. You might even try your local parts store. I think I paid about $22 for them.

I have one on my p/u and the only complaint is it takes a long time to drain.I was going to put one on my bus but I would thing it would take a very long time to drain seven gallons.
