Just an update.
I made it back to michigan from az, now i know why i moved away!
Too cold for me, I can't believe people live in this stuff for free, you couldn't pay me to live in this stuff.
Anyway the bus ran good 30 to 35 psi oil pressure, 180 degrees water temp. 65mph at 2300rpm used just over a gallon of oil (1900miles) 39 hours of driving.
It was cold though, just dash heat and no furnace, i live in az after all.
I ran a space heater off the inverter, and fired up the gen to run a second heater if needed.
ALso i didn't plan on washers and good wipers.
Someone updated the wipers to electric, but the drivers arm kept coming loose and slipping so i would stop and reposition and retighten
every hour or two.
I will add some loctite to it for the trip home. just resting now, going to head out in the morning.
Did i mention that this weather is for polarbear!

What's not to love about the weather here in Michigan?  It's a blazing 17 degrees but the humidity is low so it doesn't seem as hot.  There's lake effect snow if you are near the lake.  I bet you don't see that in Arizona.  The best part is...no road construction, no mosquitos, and you dont' need a fridge to keep your "adult beverages" at normal operating temps.  Glad you had a safe and uneventful trip.  You will want to fix the wipers and have windshield washer solvent available since the salt from the roads will do wonders to your vision out the windshield.

People in Arizona visit Michigan in the winter? Shouldnt it be the other way around?

Glad you made it safe and sound, how much fuel did it consume?

With what we see going on all over the south, we fear that it will only be a matter of time before people start comeing north for the winters, bring on global warming.

I was in st Joseph Mi (southwest corner).
Believe me i did not want to visit in the winter, after all that was why i move to phx 16 years ago.
I had to go to my uncle's funeral and that seemed to be the best way to transport my family all 6 of us (driving rather than).
I just rolled in, the weather was dry and the roads were dry all the way back.
Fuel consumption was not so good because  i ran her hard. i guess i got about 7mpg. 1800 dollars worth of fuel.
appox 36 hrs driving each way.
