Just got home from Arcadia

Brian, That had to be a long trip! we are back home also and the road salt and chemicals plus the road dirt on the bus is incredible. It was a bummer the way the fuel prices jumped up just before and all during the trip. I drove low and slow the whole trip and my fuel avg went way up as from when i was driving 65-70.  I also really apprciated your generosity and cooking. It was also a nice surprise to see john and Jean the travlin fools helping along with others. I never got to check out the interior of your coach but was impressed with how well built it seemed to be. I had never seen that model up close. The series 60 is icing on the cake. how does it drive? Its not airbags am i right? It seemed huge compared to our coach. Anyway i know that was a long trip but you have to admit overall the trips are what its all about. To bad had to drive to and from the cold. It was nice meeting you.

I really didn't see fuel prices change much between the trip down and the trip back.  I found it much less expensive to avoid truck stops this trip.  I saw places where the truck stop was like $3.35 and a block down the street was another station charging $3.19.  Out west there isn't as much choice on fuel stops in Wyoming, Utah, and Nevada.

The Series 60 in my bus performs quite well.  I have a torsion suspension except teh tag axle still has air bags.

Yes, it was a LOT of driving.  I spent more time on the road than at Arcadia.  The plan was to have BK share in the driving from Kentucky to Arcadia, but he couldn't come at the last moment.
