I just turned 40 last November.

KozyCade

Im thirty nine with ten years of experience. Did my first conversion at seventeen with my Dad and Uncle. Had my first conversion at Twenty and I sure wiish I still had the cinder blocks, milk crates, and two by eights that made up the Hillbilly Hevmobile. Still have the cooler, coleman stove and camp table from the galley...

25 here.

I think there's one other member younger than me though?

I was 36 when I bought my first bus.  Started to work on it when I was 38, finished when I was 44, and been using it now for 10 years.  Good Luck, TomC

Drove mine (still a bus) home when I was 49 and that was 1997.   Still have it and love it (as opposed to my first wife  ;D ).  I'd do another one(bus-that is) , but I think I'm running out of time 8)

ME!
I turned 24 September 24th :)
And my coach is also one of the youngest, too. "Urge" is only 21!

Well life rolls on and I am now 46 with three kids, too much work, and almost no time to spend on my bus.  My bus is 40 mins away so it is not advancing.  If I moved into it with the family I don't think much would get done either.  On a positive note my coach is older than me by 12 years and  and that makes me feel good, maybe it's wiser too.

The bus is under 40!! Does that count? Started the first one 1998 at 37. Put the last on on the road in march 2010 after an almost ten year conversion!! Still have the last bus and the first wife. Very happy with how both turned out! (P.S. Please quote me on that if you see her. Need all the points I can get for the next bus!!LOL)

Damn you guys are younger than most of the buses here lol
good luck

See why we depend on your vast knowledge so much? ;)

Seriously though it's not the actual age of the busnut that means a thing! As my granddaddy always said "yer only as young as ya feel" and he was quite the cut'n up young act'n man until his stroke at 83 yrs old. But he wuz quite impressed when he went in for his three month check up after the stroke and the dr told him he was fit as any 63 yr old man he'd ever seen! (dr mis-read his age on the chart, but later told us he was serious about "Pap" being in great shape physically!)

Now as fer my age I'm 44 (OK 45 next month) and I've been a busnut for 13-14 yrs. But still don't have one converted YET! (it's coming soon though, I feel like this is the yr an older Setra goes behind the shop and gets started being converted with or w/o out dad's permission.

I'm 55, my son who shares my computer and is usually looking over my shoulder is almost 20. We both have the disease, so I guess he might be the one of the youngest on here. No bus yet, so does that make our bus 0 years old? Then James could be in the running for both awards. LOL.  ;D

Not sure age under forty has any great significance on being crazy enough to own a bus. I am just over forty at 48 and still have to work during the week so I can use bus on weekends during the summer for now. The only thing being under forty will do for you is you have more years to sink  money into your bus LOL.
