OK folks, here's my promised update, albeit a couple weeks in arrears, on the California trip to consider a 1989 newly converted Eagle.

The owner and I had made a deal by phone but, at the last minute a problem arose which put the trip aside and, took my wife out of the adventure.  In steps my Brother a week later and two old geezers flew away to California.

After inspecting the bus and consumating the deal with the owner, my Brother Tony and I began our journey back to Tennessee.  The trip took us a week, much more than a few hundred dollars and, so many laughs I couldn't possibly total them all together.  The Eagle ran like a top - you gotta love that Series 60 Detroit!

I'm pleased with the purchase, my wife likes it very much (one big reason being that it is finished and road-ready) and, she and I are loading up the two grandsons for a 'day-after-Christmas' trip to Bussn' 2010.  We're looking forward to getting to know those of you whom we have only met via the bus boards.

Wow Gary, great news!!!!  I think you will love your Eagle!!!!

First things first, you now need to join our group at:

http://www.eaglesinternational.net

and hopefully consider joining the chapter.  There is a ton of Eagle specific information on the site and some pretty knowledgeable folks that have a lot of expertise and experience that are always willing to help.

Next, would you mind telling us who you bought the Eagle from?  We have a few in the "Eagle Mall" on the site.  If it was posted there, we can mark it SOLD.  Also, if we know the bus, we might be able to help you with background information.

BTW, for the rest of you that own SOBs, you are welcome to drop into the goings on over there.  There are several "public" forums that your can visit and you can join as a "public" member and post on those forums.  There are additional forums that are restricted to chapter members only and are not visible to the "public"

Busted Knuckle

Great news! Glad to hear about it publicly finely! (I been wondering how things went every since you told me you were heading out in a week to pick it up!)

I was wanting to post an MIA or a BOLO bulletin and ask if anyone had seen you and Gloria wondering around the country side in a lost Eagle. But I didn't want to spoil yer surprise so I just sat here calmly waiting to hear something.

Now for some pictures you know us by now we gotta have that bus porn!
