I understand what you are saying Sean but years ago all the starter solenoids came with brass nuts now the nuts and lock washers are made of coated steel, fwiw the pennies are what confused me which is not hard to do now days  lol

Clifford, just think of that penny on the ground as a possible Prevost laying there! ;D   Sean, so how about using a plastic washer as a spacer instead? Would it work?

And just to add to the penny thing and for all of those who still think a penny is worthless, :)  The same guy who paid the $1.7 million also at one time or another has paid $250,000 for a 1944 Philadelphia mint penny that was mistakenly struck on a zinc coated steel blank intended only for 1943 pennies, and paid $50,000 for an experimental 1942 cent composed mostly of tin.  I guess he has a thing for pennies!  And then you have the 1917 Mercury dime with the Denver mint mark that is worth about $70,000 but that is another story. ;D
