I installed 2 furnaces (suburban's) in the coach.  One in the front under the couch and the other in the rear under a bunk and venting into the bathroom and rear bedroom.  I love it!  Easy zoned heat.  I also wanted to stay away from the atwood because of the large hole needed in the coach wall.  Using the structural diagram in the parts manual, I was able to only put holes in the skin, not through any structural element.  I wouldn't want to put one in a bay unless it too was kept warm.  Too much heat loss in ducting  back into the bus.  Just my opinions, and I will never say you shouldn't do what works for you!

Both Atwood and Suburban make remote breathers that do not require the big mounting hole in the side of the bus anymore.  Good Luck, TomC
