Bob, if that is to install two in a XL it could be a touch high, did they come to your place? Did they supply any materials like the gaskets?
Out and in about an hour each should be plenty of time for a pro. Doing them both at the some time should shave some time off. If coming back later to seal with urethane is part of the deal then the price is reasonable.
I personally don't think urethane is necessary on an XL windshield gasket.

Busted Knuckle

Bob that is about right with what I pay considering they came to you and have to charge time from and back to the shop.

I used to pay $100 each windshield until we got the new Setra's and now they charge my $150 each as the new ones are so huge! (but I take the bus to them !)
That was in Union City, I haven't looked for a local company yet as I've not replaced any since we moved!

250 sounds good to me Bob I got a bill from Prevost in Dallas for 380 bucks for installing 1 windshield in a H-45 it is a big windshield but I thought 350 was bad till I read the total bill man those windshields are pricey for a H series

Bob
I was just quoted $35.00 per windshield, labor only, here in Springfield. I thought that was about right but now I think I was really given an outstanding price.

I paid my local guy in Nipawin $60 cash to put two windshields in my LeMirage this summer.  He was very apologetic about the price, in fact he may have only asked for $40.  I did a lot of the work - got the old glass out, cleaned the rubbers and helped him put the new ones in.  It seemed like too little to me but that was all he wanted and it didn't really take very long.

I just had my windshields removed so a new cap could be installed on my Eagle 20 to get rid of the ugly destination sign.  I supplied a new rubber and they charged $250.00 to remove and reinstall.  They had to fight to the seal during the reinstall, so I think I did get my value.  I was a little disappointed that when I ordered the new rubber seal that the lock strip didn't come with the seal.  So, at the last minute I had to order the lock strip and it was not part of the cost of the rubber seal.   Why would you use and old lock strip with a new rubber seal?  Is it normal to sell them separately?

No free lunch on windshield install if the 35 and 40 dollar installers break a windshield who is going to pay been there done that, sometime  the 250 installers balk at paying for a broken windshield
