We arrived home today after 8 months and 6287 miles in our coach. Very few problems. We had to replace 2 tires (1 from backing over a small unseen stake and one that we just wore out). We used about 4 gallon of oil and have started to develop a slight oil leak that I think is the seal behind the harmonic balancer. I burned up one wiper motor when a pantagraph arm broke and jammed the wiper blade (I forgot the motor is powered until the blade is in the park position). Overall a great trip. we attended 4 bus rallies, did a lot of kayaking and visited some great places and great people.
Now we start finalizing the plans for Bussin' 2010.  Jack

Glad to hear you two made it back home safe and sound. I'm sure you have lots of stories to share around a campfire!

Becky and I sure hate that we can not come to your last rally. It's just not in the cards at this time.

You and Paula know how to use your bus, get in it and go!

Paul

Maybe?  Last year was 5 months and a little shy of 5000 miles.  With no rally to get home to finalize next year, well, ?????  Jack

Nothing planned, just like the option of being able to stay on the road longer. We had the option last Sunday to head to LA (Lower Alabama) for a couple weeks before coming home, but needed to return home to finalize Bussin' 2011.
On this last trip, except for bus rallies, we never planned anything more than 2 weeks ahead. No worries about maintaning a schedule that way. If we were enjoying an area, we stayed longer, if we were not enjoying an area as much as we felt we would, we left earlier.  Jack

That is the way you enjoy life Jack also the way we did it next year if you need white water we have a place in Garden Valley ID that has the best you are welcome to spend as much time there as you like.
The Payette River has the best kayaking in the world people come there from all over the world to kayak and float that river plenty of good fresh cherries in late June nothing like the one you buy in a store.
Never a  need for bug spray or AC lol

good luck

Jack, you and paula have always had my complete admiration, and maybe next summer a trip thu this area with a side venture up along the the northern coast of minnisota might be something to add to the list, some great scenery and some decent white water too in places, got canada to concider too with lake nipigon and a few areas in that district, hawk junction north of wawa still might have rivorts pool hall open with their snooker tables, this area here is full of surprises too, one thing that kinda tickled me is that at michigan tech they are building a new mining museum and while digging the foundation a couple of days ago they found an old forgotten copper mine shaft from the 1800's, cool exibit to add to the basement of a mining museum I would think.   http://www.uppermichiganssource.com/news/story.aspx?id=538083
