mc5 trouble spots

Hello,

I am going to look at an 1967 MC5 today for kicks and curiosity.  And you know what that could mean... LOL  Anyway, not too familiar with these and was hoping someone could tell me what to look for specifically.  The seller says it was a custom coach from Florida.  Any help would be appreciated.

Look for rust on the front if rivets are missing or loose and rust streaks from the rivets be prepared and at the rear also check the engine compartment close and the engine rails and above the blowers and last the radiator cores if the fins are loose then prepared for new  cores,plenty to look for on a 43 year bus

Check the fluid levels in the rear end and the drop box make sure that the input shaft seal to the drop box is not leaking.
The drop box is a very expensive item to replace.

Turns out to be a 1964.  8v71, 4 spd.  Interior looks excellent, does look like a custom coach.  Perkins 12k diesel gen, central air and an engine generator in addition to the alternator.  Been sitting for a couple years.  They claim all was well when parked.  I only got to give it a glance today, but they say if I want to come back later, they can get new batteries and get it running for me if I am still interested.  Asking $7,000.  The body looks pretty clean.  I just don't know if is my imagination or not, but it looks like the passenger side body lines are a little bowed as compared to the driver side.  What could this indicate?  Sagging frame?

I don't think I saw anything really nasty.  Interior looks old and dark, but that could be the picture.  The exterior seems okay.  Am I missing something?

The only thing I was worried about was the passenger side of the bus.  It looks a little saggy toward the middle, unless it is an optical illusion.  Didn't know if this was a known trouble area or not.  Frame sagging or something.

The bay door release lever if left open will put a dent in the side  of the bus just below the window, that may be what you see.

Excellent observation.  I think you might be right because if you pan down, you can see the breaks in the stainless are straight below the distorted area.  Thanks.

On that apparent sag, it also may just be the trim under the window.  That coach (if it has a nice genset) could really be a steal.
