I was at my truck repair shop - they have my Corvette C6 that I would really like to have, as hostage for all I have spent there.  A person from the cities has his Greyhound for sale.  It is a 1948 seated coach, with of course the freshly rebuilt 6-71.  It is darn nice looking, did not have my camera with me, but can take some pictures tomorrow if anyone is interested.  I could also call the person selling it, he thinks it might be worth somewhere between 10,000 and 25,000 dollars, but that is mostly hearsay.

So if anyone is interested, let me know.

Hi Chuck,
I think I saw this coach last year at C&J repair down in Bloomington. Its a little rough but all there! Many of us would I'm sure give a few bucks for a chance to drive one just once.

Chuck,

Thanks for sharing those.

That Bus is really a work of art, just a pleasure to look at.

And a real piece of our history.

Sure brings back lots of fond memories from when Florida Greyhound Lines got their new Silversides in 1947 and 1948.
I recall riding on these old coaches with my dad when he was driving for Greyhound.
The Silversides had the best air conditioning back then in the hot summer in Florida it was nice and cold inside of these old buses.
Thanks for the photos and the memories.
