I haven't been on much, and I noticed you kind of disappeared.

What is up? You still around?

Did I hear that you were going to get a Prevost?

God bless,

John

Hey Guys!!

I am still alive but worn out  :-\. I was never this worn out working on the bus  ::). I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel though with about a month left on this remodel. We gutted about 50% of the house down to the studs, rewired several outlets, tore out a wall that the PO had put up and built bedrooms in the garage installed the new garage door etc.. etc...! I decided I was not the guy for all the mudding and texturing so I kind of have this week off while the guy I hired does all the mudding and texturing of the entire house. Its nice to see work getting done and not being the one that has to do it, muddung, sanding & texturing is not one that I enjoy. I did hang about 26 sheets of sheetrock over the last few weeks and re-framed several walls, enlarged closets removed closets, widened doorways, scraped the old popcorn off all the ceilings oh and last weekend my leg went through the ceiling as well as I was running new wires  :-\. You name it that's where I have been, lol! I have missed my buses and if all goes well I will pick another up next year  ;) I need a bus to get some rest, the 16 hour days are kicking my butt  ::)

When I get a chance I have allot of reading to catch up on, ha ha!

Bryan

PS Here are a few pictures! There are allot more but I did not want to bore everyone with non bus porn photos to much  :D :D

OK so now you've explained what you did the first week you were missing. What did you do the rest of the time? ;)
Just kidding, that was the remark (except he used day instead of week) that the owner of a company I worked for in HS as a labor foreman (I was dating his daughter and she wouldn't let him put me on the "crew" because she was afraid I'd get hurt!) used to ask me every Friday when I'd meet with him on Thursday evenings to pick up the week before's checks and turn in time sheets and progress reports.

Brian,

Glad to here you are still around!  ;D

I agree with you on the drywall.  I GC'd, designed and built my own house with exception of the concrete.

And I would sub out the drywall on any future projects.  What a pain.......  :P

Good finishers make it look sooooooo easy!

The guy that is doing the work is doing a great job and should be done by friday or saturday. It has change a bunch in the last two days. Amazing how much more work can get done with two more guys  :o.
It was kind of funny when I went to buy sheetrock screws. Lowes had either a box of 500 or 5000. I thought 500 might not be enough but 5000 will be way to many. Well I would be surprised if I have 150 left. Man thats allot of screwin, lol  ::) Good thing I taught the kids how to use a screwdriver  :D :D. A friend did loan me a sheetrock screw gun, man talk about being able to get a piece of sheetrock up in a hurry  ;D
Anyway I will post more picture in the nex week or so.

Take care all,

Bryan
