Bussin' 2011 will be our last Bussin' rally.  After 11 years of doing this rally we are ready for a break.  This decision was only made after much discussion between Paula and I and many close friends.
If someone is interested in taking it over, please let me know. We will help you with contact information for our sources and paperwork required, etc. Although it is not copyrighted, we do ask that if someone decides to use these dates for a new rally, that they do not use Bussin in the name of their rally. This will allow their rally to build using its own indenity.
In the first ten years we had approx 1400 coaches attend our rallies.  There are only a few left that attended all 10 previous rallies. I won't mention the names for fear of forgetting some of them. We have many great memories from these rallies. We are a little sad about not continuing, but we both feel we need a break from hosting rallies. In addition to the Bussin' Rallies, we also hosted and co-hosted rallies for the SE Busnuts and SE Cruisers.
A special thanks to all that volunteered through the years and continue to volunteer this year.  Without you. these rallies would not have happened.
We still plan to attend rallies and travel in our coach, just not get involved in organizing the rallies.

Jack & Paula

Thanks to everyone for all the memories

Jackie & I weren't there for the first one but we did enjoy the ones we attended. We'll be there, with bells on, to thank you and Paula and all the volunteers and give that well deserved standing ovation on the last night!

Good Luck to you both on the new chapter in your life! Keep on paddling down stream OK!

Hopefully someone will step up and continue the tradition that you have created.

I used to chair an MS 150 ride in which we raised over $1,000,000 in 3 years.  Makes me wonder if something like this rally could be done from NC???????
Do all of the preliminary stuff before hand and come down the day after Christmas.  Just wondering!

I'm sad to hear this will be the last one and I haven't been to any of them, yet.  :(

I'm now more resolved than ever to make to Arcadia this year in my bus.  I've had a few more financial setbacks recently, but I really think I can make it work.  Arcadia or Bust!

EVERYONE -

If you've never been to one of these rallies, THIS IS THE YEAR TO GO!!

From a small gathering to over 160 coaches, this is the PREMIER busnut event on the east coast, and, to some degree, MUCH better than Quartzsite.

Jack, Paula and his group of volunteers put on a fantastic weekend to ring in the New Year, including such things as seminars, a flea market, GREAT food, wonderful fellowship, lots of time for swapping bus war stories, many attendees opening their coaches for "newbie" tours, hysterical musical entertainment, and just plain FUN!

Let's make this the BEST rally yet!  Make your plans NOW to attend Bussin' 2011 in Arcadia, FL in order to support Jack & Paula's efforts for the wonderful events they've worked so tirelessly to put on for us fellow busnuts!

I've got my airline tickets, car rental & hotel reservations already (don't have time to drive from CA), so the rest of you need to get started!

DON'T MISS BUSSIN' 2011 - you'll kick yourself forever if you do!

I know I'm going to catch some flack for saying this but in the bussing community, there are some great people and among the great people there are those that outshine the other great people by the warmth and genuiness that they have, with jack and paula you get what you see, paula is like a sister to all the wives and jack has been like a grandfather to me, while we were parked in their back yard I learned more about buses in the couple short months that we were there than I've learned since I started playing with them, what ever jack tackled, he took the time to explain exactly what and why he was doing, every day was a new opportunity to learn for me, I can't make this last rally that jack and paula are hosting but I know that our paths will cross often and just as jack has a spot for us when ever we go thru, we have one for them and other people that may get lost and end up within shouting distance.  I'll run for cover now lol.

Jack, I figured I'd better take off running when I said that lol.  Yep, I'll be there in spirit, just don't have the funding for it this year, if I can keep on course with my bill paying I'll once again be debt free shortly and be able to travel freely again, unless something drastic happens I'll be able to get in the bus with a small coushion again about late spring, it's been a long hard haul but I ducked the onrushing train, I sure miss being able to stop in and make peoples days longer.  Don't put the coffee pot on yet but it'll be soon.

I'll never live that sewer hose caper down will I Jack? I could think of worse things to live down though...
