CoachNet - 40 yr age limit

In preparation for the Maiden Voyage, I signed up for Coach-Net(forget that the trip is only one hour each way!)  I was reading the "fine print" and noticed that it only covers vehicles under 40 years old!  Mine is a '73, but that means I can only have coach-net for another 3 years.  When I get a chance I will have to call them to see if there are any exclusions.

 The 40 year limit is for cars/pick-ups, they will cover your coach, when I talked with CoachNet the first person I got on the phone said they could not cover my coach because it is over 40 years old, but after I told her it was an RV she checked with someone else and they covered it...

I use them and they did not complain even though mine is a '65.

Mine is a 68 and they took my $$ no complaints.

Mine's 42 years old and while I don't have Coach Net I'll bet some serious money that our Buses are in better condition than most of the RV's that Coach Net insures.

Those of who do what we do are more than cognizent of the potential dangers of putting one of these old gals down the highway in less than the best condition.

Can you imagine how much havoc one of our buses could cause to a compact car full of young children? I know I am...and I truly believe everyone of the Bus Converters on both boards is as well

This came up several months back and our 1971 MCI 7 is getting close to the 40 year limit so I called Coach Net and asked. I was told the 40 year limit is only for our cars (which are all included in the base coverage) but the Motorhome does not have any age restrictions.

Ours is a 1968 and didn't have any problems signing up, or them taking our money!

  Our 53 4104 is covered by Coachnet. Has been for 7 yrs. Never a problem or question as to eligibility. As long as I pay..It's OK...Cable

As mentioned by others, here is an excerpt from an email I received from Coach Net...

I sincerely apologize for any confusion that this excerpt in the benefit guide may have caused. On page 17 of the benefit guide the verbiage, "Vehicles over 40 years old are not applicable for benefits" is referring to classic/collector automobiles.

This age limitation does not pertain to any recreational vehicle that a customer register with us. I have forwarded your concern on and we will verify if we can make a change to the benefit guide in the future to state- personal automobiles over 40 years old are not applicable for benefits.

I apologize for getting everyone excited.  I just had that sinking feeling you get when you realize you might have just thrown a bunch of money away.

I am relieved to find that Coach-Net is a good outfit, even if their benefit guide is not written the greatest.
