Something to keep in mind,...... just because somebody has one a year or two, or seven or eight, or whatever, newer or older, and tows it with no problems doesn't mean that you can. Chevy may have made a change during one of those years that you don't know about until you find out the hard way. Case in point, i have an 87 Jeep Wagoneer that does not have a cap on the radiator. From what i have heard they only did this for 2 years then changed back. To put in water i have to put it in the overflow canister which is pressurized. Because of this setup i can not take off the cap and look into the radiator to see what kind of condition it is in. Only way to do that is to remove the top tank. ???

So Ok To tow this truck flat, I now have to carry an extra Transmission as per Len to stop an change it at road side, then use pump that only works on an automatic and won't do any good for mine anyway?  then I have to buy a motorcycle ( and I don't even ride those things)to put in the back of the Pickum up truck(I 'm Guessing for weight? Do I take the tires off and drag it too???

Well on an even worse note my inverter I sent to ASE supply in Oregon was found not only to have the AC board gone but the DC board is shot too and can't  or won't be worth fixing. Ah life is good????

Sounds like you need to use the truck for a parts chaser. :o Just a little sourcasm..sounds like a handy little truck to have around any way..I have seen them towed backwards on a tow dolly. two guys I know do it one a ranger and one a lincoln..I do prefer flat towing:we have a chev hhr with automatic you just put it in neutral and pull a fuse to prevent batt from running down as per owners manual also the malibu auto are same way,but ck owners manual first on malibu as I have no first hand knowledge of it.  Goood luck    Bob

Dave, if you really want to haul your new motorcycle in the bed of your s-10 LOL, I would recommend this site for specifics on any vehicle

http://www.remcotowing.com

also I do happen to have  a set of roadmaster brackets for a s-10 brand new in the box part number 161-2 that fit any s-10 or blazer from 1990 thru 2005
that I would sell for 100 bucks to anybody that needs them

according to remco your truck needs a lube pump and I have seen these pumps on the famous Ebay auction site used for fair prices

here is a link to roadmaster for more info

http://www.roadmasterinc.com

hope this helps
