I've heard of different time zones but that is wild! Seriously? Is it turkey day up north?

I smell a snipe hunt coming on.......

From Wikipedia:

Thanksgiving, or Thanksgiving Day (Canadian French: Jour de l'Action de grĂ¢ce), occurring on the second Monday in October (since 1959), is an annual Canadian holiday to give thanks at the close of the harvest season. Although the original act of Parliament references God and the holiday is celebrated in churches, the holiday is also celebrated in a secular manner.

Makes sense it would be earlier.  Being further north, harvest season ends earlier.

I remember in grade school in northern Illinois being taught Thanksgiving as being near my birthday ( and Mikes too) though I didn't understand why. Either way, Happy Thanksgiving and I guess the beginning of the holiday seasons!
