The end of December this year marks a mile stone in my medical life, as many of you know I had a massive heart attack a couple of years ago and was sent to meet my creator, he didn't want me so he sent me back thanks to the paddles and the skill of the paddler, (paddler?), an hour later I was one again sent on my way to the afterlive, apparently I was given the 'other' choice, the guy in the red suit didn't have any use for me either so he also sent me back, this time it was helga the horrible wielding a massive needle in her hairy fist that retrieved me from the coal furnace or whatever was waiting for me.  I don't remember any of it so that was all conjecture, all I know is that afterwards my insurance man refused to honor my policy and told me I had to stay dead in order to collect on my life insurance.  But enough of the past, in december I will have reached a milestone, all of the doctors, hospitals and each and every lab tech has been paid, each asperin has been paid, even the extra cups of coffee has been covered, thru hard work and careful starving and staying home when I would have rather been out chasing libby in the snow naked, the cards and well wishes sent to me from friends and even people here on the board that I don't know certainly helped keep me going but my goal has almost been met, I've never welched on a bill in my life, sometimes I'm late but each time it gets covered, one of the few things in life I can be proud of I guess, not much going on here at this time of morning so I get to wax on pathitcally lol.

Cody,

This board will always embrace you, despite your refusals @ both "H's". Glad of that.

But more so Celebrate you as driving yourself thru all of this and paying for all expenses involved, instead of the many whiners the media seems to highlite so many times.

Your story should be told many times so we all receive a better perspective on life.

God Bless,

Gary

Gary, I have no claim to anything special, just doing what has to be done, so many others here have done far more.  I remember sitting on the dock with my dad once watching my grandfather fly fishing, my dad pointed at him and said, integredy is what you do, respect is who you are, neigher are given, both are earned and can be lost far quicker than they can be earned.  That was a pretty heavy load to drop on a 4 year old kid but I still remember it word for word.
