Something wrong there, 8000 on motor instead of the usual 25,000.  Looks like that could turn out to be one very expensive Eagle.

Yep, that would scare me, normally they have 25K on the engine rebuild that was never done, only 8000 on the engine rebuild would indicate that they didn't do it sooner and it isn't still not properly broke in.  However, they may not have had time to properly misplace the paperwork yet either, bet they are scrambling lol, somebody should edicate them.

I agree, our 01 has the same configuration and I need HULK arms to acomplish a fast turn..

So, whats an Eagle that ugly really worth? Looks like scrap/parts value to me, lot of money for scrap/parts. My wife would divorce me if I drove that POS into the yard and said I paid $10K.

  But honey, its and Eagle, with a rebuilt engine......

If beauty carried a price tag most of us guys would be sitting with a yard sale tag on our heads, I have yet to see a 40 or 50 year old bus that is in the conversion process that would win any beauty contests, the primer stage does seem to help conciderably tho.

I agree - my bus looks awful at the moment, but it's part-way through it's conversion and I certainly wouldn't swap it for the clean and tidy straight-out-of-service bus that I bought.

This Eagle looks rough on the outside, but as far as you can tell the body is straight and undamaged, and the cabinet work on the interior looks pretty decent. Who knows - the bus may be in excellent shape mechanically, and might look like a million dollars after a few weeks of bodywork.

Good luck getting what you think you'll get for scrap. Many scrap yards will quote you one thing on the phone, but once you show up, the price lowering game begins. -it isn't 'clean' enough to get top dollar, - it is too big to get top dollar, etc.

They're counting on you won't leave with it because then you would be reducing your net take . . . .

Too bad the price is so high - the seller will probably end up with almost nothing if he scraps it out. . . .

That Eagle has a lot more to offer than mine had when I brought it home,would make Wayne Schell's 05 look good also look at a photo of those 2 now.

I got the impression that the seller wasn't really considering scraping as an option - I took his comment "....I am not going to give it away, I will sell it for scrap first..." as trying to warn anyone off from making insultingly-low offers.
