We pulled into the campground in Hurricane, UT yesterday and was greeted by the park manager who said he was the proud owner of an MCI 102A3.  It turns out that he is Singing Land Cruiser on the board here.  I must say that this is the friendliest welcome we have had.  We have not exchanged tours yet though.

Clifford-- We went over to the park today by car.  I think that's the way we will do most of it.  They said that there is generally an escort and a $15. fee for larger vehicles to take the road through the tunnel.  I am still not sure that would include a tiny MC5a.  It may only be for things as big as Eagles.  Anyway. there is construction on that road now with some sections of alternate one lane traffic.  Because of that they are not requiring an escort.  We haven't decided if we are going to go that way when we head for Bryce since the construction means slow progress.

If anyone is interested, we passed an RV dealer today that had a nice looking Eagle in the yard.  We stopped off to take a look just in cast they were giving it away.  They weren't!  I believe it is a model 10.  I think he said it was 1987 or 85.  They have it there on consignment for around 190k.  He said it was professionally custom build in 2006 for over 600k.  Very nice job.  It has a Series 60 engine, a living area slide, and showroom stainless and paint.  The entry door was even relocated about 10 foot back so that the copilot is on the same level as the driver.  The wife and I both checked our pockets for change but came up short.

We were transferred here for San Diego last April to fix this park, then it sold and...........we're still here. We hope to do the "Show & Tell" with Lin soon. All Busnuts are welcome at this Resort!

Lin

Yes Clifford, it is painted blue.  I suspected that you knew it and when it had its oil changed last.  It is in Hurricane, Utah.  The funny thing is that we stopped off when we saw it from the highway.  The salesman told me it was selling for 189k.  Now that I looked it up online, they have it listed at 149k.  If he had told us that then, we might have taken it, but it's too late now since my wife spent all we had on hiking shoes.  Oh well, maybe they will take my 5a as a swap.

Clifford, after having died twice, I know exactly how pressious life can be, every morning that I wake up I think it's a good start.  After having died twice I feel that they both had a chance at me and nobody wanted me so you guys are stuck with me for now.  I didn't see either a light at the end of the tunnel or a firepit but what I did find disturbing was when my insurance agent told me I had to stay dead before I could get the life insurance check. lol hmmmmmmmmmmmm I've got an old girlfriend from high school that lives in Utah, not sure where but somewhere in utah, can't be that many people in utah, maybe I should ask around lol, course she probably got old, that was a while back. Wow, I just googled her name and she lives in Mountain Top Utah lol, and hasn't croaked of old age yet that I can tell hmmmmmmmmmmm lol.

Van

Michael, Cheryl and I would love to see you guys at the Q. You guys were the greatest last Jan, I don't know what the entertainment committee has planned thus far for entertainment at the next Q (I'm just the small pea in a big pod  ;D)). But speaking from experience, I wouldn't hesitate for a moment in recommending you guys, my camera gave up the ghost at the last Q but managed to save some clips, here they are Quartzsite video 2.wmv                                                                                        I just got back late last evening from a cram packed 1 day tour of the Grand Canyon with my Sister visiting from NC, I would love to come up and see you, especially since you guys are so close, lemme check my calender. Shame bout not needing the generator, was hoping to show off the dual fish tail pipes I installed on my Honda ( never know if it is running or not, too quiet)Generator, No problems now, as it wakes me up every time, on time  ;D ;D

Michael, sent ya a PM ;)

Van, we are still parked here too.

When we leave here for Bryce, we wanted to take the Zion-Mt. Carmel Hwy through the park.  Has anyone driven it in a bus?  Is it reasonable for an 8v71?

Van

Lin, we should be up your way around 10ish. the tunnel is passable but I am seeing an additional charge for the escort though the tunnel. You could always come around though Kanab to Bryce, few more miles around that way but think of the phot ops at the tunnel with the bus...PRICELESS! ;D We'll keep an Eagle eye out for ya ;) ;D
