I was looking at the manual for my 7.5kw Kohler generator.  It said that the oil pressure, which is adjustable, should be about 20psi.  My oil pressure is between 25 and 30 psi.  Should it be adjusted down?

Is that oil pressure hot?  Take an oil pressure reading after the generator has had a 6kw load on it for an hour.  I think you'll find you're all right the way it is.  Good Luck, TomC

Are you running out of things to worry about? ???

Tom,

That is the pressure when hot.  At least when running one AC in 100+ degree weather.

Len,

Thanks for the reality check.  I would really be concerned if the oil pressure was low.  My thought was that I could ignore a little higher pressure, but don't want to bet the genny on my assumptions.
