My new Peninsula windows are now here, and before I go out and screw something up, I wanted to ask if there are any tricks to removing the factory top hinged windows from an MC-5C.  The emergency release bars still work, the windows hinge up and down just fine.  Do I just tap our the hinge pin, do I need to cut anything, do they unhook in anyway?

The Pen windows are installed inside the factory frames to replace the OEM glass, basically.

Brian, if it is anything like the D model, open the window to about +- 45 degree angle, then lift it up and out. Two people make it easier. Take a good look at the hinge first and you'll figure it out. The hinge is shaped like a C, and when openned to the rigth angle, just unhooks.

We had our 5A done at the factory and i helped. Its been a few years but i think we had to pull/drive out the pins. It does take two to do it.
Used to own a 1968 MCI 5A and a 1977 5C.
