Headed to Philidelphia in 3 weeks to see the sights with the grandkids, where would a good place to stay a little west of  the city for 2or 3 days?

I'm a little Northwest of Phila, (zip code 19438). Give me a little idea of what you might be looking for.  Do you want a commercial campground with pool and playground for the kids?  What kind of hook-ups do you need/want?  Depending on schedules, I might be able to provide a no-frills landing place w/  30 amp power and water.
If you're going to be dumb, you gotta be tough.

OH yeah, stay far away from the little rat hole truck stop down by the "Philly Market" where all the produce buyers and sellers operate!

Only place anywhere in our great nation where I had to shoot someone for putting a knife to my throat and demanded my wallet!
Of course he was dumb enough "to let me reach inside my jacket to get my wallet out too!"

And the COPS were PO'd at me because I didn't make a clean kill shot and he could turn up laying in the street or alley dying or being drug into an emergency room before the end of their shift and creating a ton of extra paper work for them.

Yeah, we're really sorry about that response from Dallas.  We just can't do a thing with him.  Who is responsible for his medication this week anyhow??? :P

Red, I don't know bout west of Philly, but there used to be some nice campgrounds up north a little ways in and around Washington's Crossing, both sides of the Delaware (PA & NJ sides), and a very historic area to boot. good luck. Van
