I just started my build and am already tired of the original door opener. Anyone have a suggestion for a simple affordable door latch/handle for the entry door.

Jeep door latches work good with a little modifications the door latches are about 41/2 x 51/2 inches the tail gate latch is 21/2 x 5 inches I like the tailgate latch myself they come in SS, chrome or painted then use a old Ford pickup door lock, it will cost around 50 bucks using a old backset from a house type lock.

good luck

I looked on ebay their are alot of different style, just as my wheels I want to make sure I get the right ones. If anyone could help me source the correct parts I will definatly buy them asap.

Ask Jack Conrad about his Freightliner door latch. I've seen them and Jack has an installation page that'll take you step by step through the whole process.

You young fellas need to talk more with the old timers for the best info. No offense intended.

I buy from Quadratec or Jeep 4x4 center not much difference in a Frieghtliner and a Jeep latch expect price Jeeps are cheaper and a lot easier install.

Ok how about these. If this works what else do I need. Im afraid these are only exterior door parts no mechanical mechanisms
