REBUILT refridgerators for cheap with warranty

I am going to repeat this post under a more appropriate title as its own thread.  That is because I REALLY like the sound of my own voice, mostly.  Also I think many will find it has useful info.


$480 for the main unit to install in your burned out refer.  Burned out refers are free almost anywhere they don't think you want them.    http://www.rvcool.com/

I paid $795 for the complete refer and he is local and avail and I got a 1 year warranty.  Rfer is like new and is currently sold by Camping World for $1400+.  8 cubic feet  He has all you want as he is a service rep and installs new ones and carts off the old.  6 cubic feet same price.

The only thing that wrecks these things is the cooling coil perforating or being burned up.  The cooling units are actually not rebuilt, it would seem, by all but are replaced.  They are easily removed and reinstalled in the refer box for the GOAL.

Some rebuilders offer a FIVE year warranty. Dometic offers one year.

JohnEd,I use a guy in AR www.rvfridgestore.com he builds his own units if you have a bad unit that no one has parts for.
He built me a unit for a old guy with a Hadco fridge that had no money living on 280 bucks a month SS and never charged me a dime, it would be hard for me to change suppliers after that act.

Hell, Clifford,  I would deal with that guy exclusively myself if he had a heart that big.  I wouldn't want you to change and I suggest all that can do deal with him as you do.

I am only providing options to purchasing a new unit.  I don't like that throwing away of functioning/recoverable  stuff for no good reason.  Screws up the planet and I don't care if Big Al said that.  Also, I don't like to see friends wasting hard earned disability pension money.  I think honor, virtue and charity should be held to the highest light and emulated/appreciated.  I want everyone to deal where they feel comfy and if dealing with a worthy individual is outside that zone, for whatever reason, so be it.

You mentioned that your friend can recover obsolete equip and hand make replacement parts.  You can't find that ability or willingness on every corner.  Facts are it is really hard to find guys willing to take that kind of project on at all.

Clifford....You Dog!  That place is even cheaper than any that I found.  He ships and warranties and is cheaper and IS A GOD GUY.  Why go anywhere else.
