You might recall me posting a couple weeks ago about looking at a 5C. I always liked 5s from when we used to drive them at Brewster's in the '70s in the Canadian Rockies. Well this one is a very well preserved example. In really good shape, meticulously maintained, no rust, nice, classic conversion in oak, recent reno with hardwood floor, flat screen TV, new fridge, etc. all the bells and whistles, etc. Low mileage 6V92/HT740. Then I took Valerie to see it and she liked it ;D. So we made a deal and brought it home last weekend. I finally got around to taking some pictures and here they are. It is a 1977 that the seller tells me started as an airporter in San Diego, then was converted in '93 by BMI, paint by  Stahr Design, serial no: S 12776 , unit no: 7401. Can anyone tell me some history based on those numbers? I have been going over all the systems to get familiar with them: lots to learn... Very exiting! First real trip is this weekend to a dirt bike race in Calgary.

Now I'll have to sell the Courier. I put so much into it...

JC,  a couple of years ago we stopped by Southern Oregon Diesel on the way south and that bus was there with an airline problem. The next morning in Northern California he passed us. :)

JC, i just took a look at the MCI delivery list on the web and just like my 5A, it shows no info on yours. Can you ask the PO if he has any papers on the history of it?

Well,  Valerie collects horses... Why coulnd't I collect buses? I have 3 in the yard now counting the hockey teams 102D. I tell her they don't need feeding just sitting there like horses do. LOL.

This 5 has been all over the South and Mexico. Maybe some of you have seen it somewhere, like Ed H. The PO did tell me that he had been at S.O.Diesel and knows David Gregory who treated him well.

Very pleased with our purchase. It will do us for a long time. It is the kind of coach we could spend some time in. Three years to go till our youngest goes away to college. If he doesn't, at least he could look after the place while we are gone, maybe, LOL.
