Here is hoping everyone on these bb'ds had a great, safe Memorial Day and remembered in their hearts the real meaning of this past holiday.  Now if only we could influence our politicians to bring our young Men & Women back home before we lose any more of them from a situation or war or what ever you want to call it that will never, ever be over. My condolences go out to all that know of any one having loss any of our wonderful soldiers & to those that had any personal loses of our young children.  Remember the results of the Vietnam war.  I do!!  I was there.

Now back to the theme of this post:

To all those that ordered DVDs of the "April in the Carolina's" (SEBN) rally, April 21 - 25, 2010 at Palmetto Cove Campground, Cleveland, SC.  These video's  are finally complete after much technical problems because of my computer crash & I can tell you now that these video's are finally in the mail today (May 31, 2010).  Thank You for your patience.

Hi Gary,

I didn't order one but this thought came to me while reading your post.

I have never ever met a more dedicated guy when it comes to documenting Bus Events. The pictures and videos you make take an enormous amount of time and energy. Have you thought about selling them through the BCM rag?

My hats off to ya Eagle Buddy! 8)

How are you feeling? Is your back up to par yet?

Very nice job Gary!  You and your photographic and musical gifts are great assets to the busin' community!

Thanks Mike & Paul for your kind words.  I hope you received your DVD already Mike.  Documenting these rallies is great for anyone wishing to look back in their years ahead and sit back and relive what you did in video DVD form.  That is my intent anyhow to do for anyone interested.

It is funny Paul that you mentined selling some of these video's as the last rally we went to, (SEBN 2010, at Palmetto Cove) I documented like normal and offered for a minimal price a DVD to anyone interested.  There was a few takers and of coarse their memories are in the mail as I write.  Not everyone is really interested though so I did not get all hopped up about doing this like full time as it takes a lot of time to do but not worth while if there is no return of somekind.  Making DVDs and mailing them is costly as I have done it so much in the past but now I am trying to re coop the price it cost to make.  Believe me there is not a lot of profit.  I am not sure if others on these boards are interested in Video's from other rallies.  Awhile back I mentioned that at all rallies, any photos taken by others at rallies I would put them in video form and on DVDs for a minimal cost but there was no takers so I just do it at rallies we attend.  I have copies of most of all the rallies we have attended on our NEW computer EXTERNAL disc that was recovered for me. One day I may just back track and make new DVD videos of rallies we attended like Arcadia, Delaware, Palmetto Cove, Timmonsville, Santee, Etc.  and give them to our grandkids and family.  Who knows how long youtube will allow us to post this stuff as I have had over 10 videos deleted by them in the past as they got pissed at me for complining about something not too long ago. Also, having everything on one DVD is easier than trying to search for it on the net.

People like to view stuff on Youtube etc. for FREE, but don't think about having the real deal in their possession to view years down the road or give to their families as memories in the their past to pass on to them.

If for any reason others said they were interested in DVDs of rallies to be produced then I would work at it more diligently than I already do. I would then advertise in the BCM magazine as you have suggested.  I do appreciate the suggestion from you Paul, probably this is not dead yet.

As for my back, it's sloooooowly getting better, 4 more weeks & I can shed this darn ole brace I wear all day, every day.  This surgery was waaaaaaaaaayyyyyy more aggravating and painfull than the other one and being 65 does not help either.  I still spend hours at times just sitting at the Eagle, planning, admiring what has been done & I assure you could not do again.  But to drive this ole girl and meet up with all you guys I have yet to meet off these boards will be great.  I hope some of my previous information I have given on these boards (inspect, inspect, inspect for sale) has helped those newbies interested in doing this be educated and not make the mistakes I sure did. This has been a trying experience, the past couple of years especially but the health issues do not help either.

Anyhow, Hope you all have a great weekend coming up, those receiving your DVDs I also hope enjoy them and I have learned to double check my equipment in the future and not take any setting on the cameras for granted!!
