Dual pane windows are great for insulation but temperature is just 1/2 the story, sound is the other half. When you park in the middle of nowhere it doesn't matter but stop at a rest area or truck stop and spend the night and you will see how much difference dual pane windows make for quieting things down. They have made the difference between sleep and no sleep.

My front side windows are the stock single pane ones that iggle put in the bus, the windows directly behind them are the Hehr windows, on a cold day the stock ones are so full of condensation and ice you can't see out of them, the Hehr windows are absolutely clear, no moisture of any kind so they must be helping a little also they did quiet down the bus a lot, course I can still hear libby so that part isn't working as well as it could lol.

I also have the stock angled single pane windows in the front on both sides. One of these days I'll replace them at a cost of around 1K, one of these days!

I do agree on the value of noise reduction, let alone the fact we can open them up to get a good cross flow. If they used gas like house windows there would be a lot of failures, I think. So far we are very happy! I even like the screens!

Paul, I was very impressed with the windows I had bought, if I had found fault with them I would have brought up that when I told you about them, my biggest problem was that I couldn't get as good a deal on yours as I got on mine, course I spent a bundle there when I got mine but I did as well as I could for you, mine were 20 bucks each, but the kid that sold me mine had gone on to other things and the kid that sold me yours wasn't as charitable.

I was more than grateful to you for taking the time to get them for us. Of course that gave you a chance to plunder and pilage somemore!

I agree on the quality, best buck ever spent!

I should have bought two more and squared up the front openings, and would have been done with it! My wife likes the slanted look, of course I'm the one who installs them so I said OK. Then I told her the price to have them made up, she about fainted!

Ok guys I am one of the type that like to prove things to himself I live in the prefect place the AZ desert and on my bus I have the prefect window for the little test I done.
My drivers window is a dual pane Peninsula slider with a single pane dark tint at the top I just took a reading after parking the bus for 2 hours in the western sun these reading were from the inside the bottom dual pane was 103 degrees the top dark tinted single pane was 105 degrees not much difference in the heat factor, now one of guys living in cold country do one for the cold lol  
I have 8 of the high priced Peninsula's in my bus and I don't think they are worth the price you pay fwiw

Paul, I have some Attwood double pane that may work for you they are big 31x55 I bought those in Vegas a few months back cheap measure and let me know

Bevans6, When we bought our bus we found some expandable screens under the bed,they are about 12in. wide by 24 or 28 in. expanded, The way they work is you slide the forward  bedroom window back the screen drops into the window channel ,you expand it, slide the window back  against the  screen and you have ventilation.  The only thing that I don't like about is the screens have wooden frames.I think I saw these at Kmart.A cheap fix that works. They also have adjustable window screens at Lowe's, not sure for Home Depot or Menard's. Aluminum frames I do know.

RGauto, thank you for the tip, I appreciate it.  The windows in the bedroom of my bus don't slide, stock.  Well, one slides three inches, the other is fixed.  I ordered my windows yesterday (single pane, fwiw) and we'll see what we see when we get them in 6 weeks or so.

You can get RV replacement windows in dual pane a lot less money than Motion Windows, X Peninsula. I did Fleetwood windows on the first bus, a Buffalo. Took some time to find the size as each model and year is different is size but the price was right. Four windows for less than $800 including freight when Peninsula wanted $400 each plus freight.
Just a thought.

And yes dual pane for noise and condensation problems.
