We completed the sale of our GM4106 on Monday afternoon and the buyer is driving it home. From our perspective the sale went well.
I learned a few things that may help someone else sell their bus: Clean it thoroughly inside and out so it is presented in its best light; take all of your possessions, that do not go with the bus, out so it doesn't look cluttered and so the buyer doesn't get the impression that they do; check all operating systems to be sure they work normally, don't depend on the fact that they worked the last time you used the bus,(I didn't and had to do a few quick fixes including freeing a stuck shaft on one A/C motor, the gas burner on the refrigerator, bleeding air out of the water pump, and replacing the house batteries); disclose any known problems if you aren't willing to fix them; explain all of the systems to the buyer and try to get them to take notes so you only have to go over everything once, with followups on any item not understood; try to be patient (I fall short on that one); take them for a test drive and offer them the opportunity to drive on the return leg; offer to meet the buyer part way if they are driving a long distance or offer to pick them up at the airport if they are flying; we fed and housed our buyer, but at least offer to find them a motel and restaurant if that isn't workable. That is only a partial list. I'm sure there are many things that could be added. HTH
The buyer will tell you his side of the story in his next article in Bus Conversions Magazine.
