We started a 7500 mile trip the other day. On the way from south Texas where we spent the Winter to South Florida to visit our Son I noticed at low R.P.M. the air dryer would discharge about 95 psi but at driving speed the air compressor would kick on about 90psi and off about 110psi which is normal for this Bus.
Is the problem the Regulator or the Dryer?
I have access to tools now then again in about 2 weeks then not for about 3 months so i needs to get this fixed soon.

Unless you know the vintage of your current parts, it would be good preventive maintenance to put a fresh governor on the air compressor and put a rebuild kit into your air drier.

Problem vanishes, no hit and miss, reliability returned and you won't worry about what happens next with it all?

happy coaching!

Terry,

You have been parked for quite a while?

Something is hanging up...

I am with BW on this one.

I keep a spare governor on the coach (there cheap) just in case and rebuilding the air dryer is a piece of cake.

And if you should ever need access to tools in Florida, just call me.

South Florida?  Fran told me North Florida!  :o :o We're in South Florida, leaving for Bushnell on Saturday or so.  Where are you in S. Florida and why aren't you calling to buy me lunch?  ::)

Tom and Terry,

Where are you going in Bushnell?

Do you have some commitments already or do I need to open Camp Cliff?

i've got a cousin about 3 miles from the Sumpter Oaks Escapee camp, so we stay at the SKP camp in order to get laundry done.  At $15/nite, almost cheaper than boondocking at Walmart.  No committments other than i need to share a meal or two with my cousin before we leave Monday.  i figured i'd watch Terry fix his air dryer while i drink his "shine"  :D.

Bring Uncle Ned also. I like the idea of sitting and drinking Shine and watch Uncle Ned work on my Bus.
