I've heard all about Sam and his business practices and would never consider doing business with him.  However, does anyone have any first hand knowledge of the quality of his work.  I'm thinking of looking at a used walker conversion.

My assumption is that if he cheats financially, he probably cheats on quality as well but I don't know that for a fact.

Thanks,

Len

Len,
If this is the coach you are looking at, I can go check it out for you. I live about 13 miles from Heartland Coaches lot.  Email me if you have any questions, Jack

Thats funny, heartland & walker were the same thing. I'm surprised most people don't know that. Of course, that was awhile ago. Everyone talks about money problems with the outfit, I'm glad that they don't know what the real problem was down there. And before you ask, if you don't know, you're not going to hear it from me.

Heartland Coach was started after Sam Walker left town very quickly during a police investigation of his busniess practices and other activities.  Heartland was started by former Sam Walker employees and an investor.  They leased the building that Sam had leased.  A few years later when the lease was up on the building, the property was sold to an investor who started Horizon Coach. At that time Heartland purchased a propertry on the west side of Arcadia, They are still at this location.  Horizon purchased the former Desoto Bowling Alley property on the east side of Arcadia and sold the propery that had once been leased by Sam Walker. Horizon and Heartland are both on State Route 70.  Latest rumor is that property will house a company that makes modualr housing as well as the pool heater cxompany that has leased a portion of the building from Horizon for the last several years.  Jack
