MC7 more info found

My uncle came across an MC7 sitting in a storage facility over the weekend that a mexican band stored then just left it there without paying storage. I am going to take a look at it tomorrow and need some general info on what to look for on this particular bus.

The owner of the storage facility is getting a title for it now and should have it in a few weeks (Title 42). Has been there for a couple years.

The info I got was MC7-602 Challenger, if that makes any sense. Anyone with history?

I'm gonna guess the 602 came off of the door and is not part of the serial no. That can be found in the coach above the driver (if the tag is still there) or above the squirrel cages over the engine. That will help a lot. Let us know!

That was the number given to me by the guy at the storage facility. I will look for it tomorrow.

Well I went and looked at the MC7 today. Here is what I found
Unit No. 10403
Serial No. 7602

It has been at the storage facility for 5 years. The owner of the storage unit said it was driven in and the mexican band that owned it quit paying storage last March. I looked it over a bit and took a few pictures. He thought it was worth about 4-6K. I set him straight. It could be bought for in the $2000.00 range or best offer. I think you could get it for $1200-$1500. The batteries were obviously dead so I could not start it. Had some rust through on the dash and where the condensor fan was mounted underneath is rusted. The owner of the storage unit should have a title in 2-3 weeks.

If anyone is interested and wants me to look at anything in particular I will be happy to do so.

Bryan, if the owner of the storage lot is going to part it out, I would be interested in a couple of items...baggage door handles, rear stop lamp bezels, driver's seat (if in good condition). Thanks!
