Question about fueling at truck stops

i stopped at PETRO truck stops, because you get a free shower(s) w/ your fuel purchase (ask about free petro card) & there is a restaurant at every one & you don't have to worry about your rig as the truckers watch out for each other & usually they are patrolled by security.
the one in joplin MO is great & the hotel "SLEEP INN" is pet friendly & has a really good breakfast & is very reasonable, & there is a great place to shop.
i pulled my PT cruiser & always found a spot (sometimes we had to look a while), but it was fun!?!
my wife enjoyed the truck stops, but me being a retired trucker (OTR) it brought back memories of being 'rushed' around the country, & being away from home.
she'd last about a month OTR.
