MPG only depends on the size goggles the driver wears! ;D

But it says it has AC!

This is like an Ariel Atom on steroids  -  no bodywork, exoskeleton chassis, rear engine, good power/weight ratio, low center-of-gravity, bugs in your teeth, a minimalist approach to driving.   (If you want a laugh, watch Jeremy Clarkson testing an Atom on YouTube.)

Actually, considering the whole thing is brand spanking new, that's probably a fair price.  The 500HP Cummins ISM and Allison B500 combination are worth more than that alone.  I would guess that, without paperwork, neither Cummins nor Allison would be honoring any warranty on these, so you'd have to discount for that fact, but that's still a great price for a brand new, top-of-the-line power train.

Add to that eight new tires on new aluminum wheels, plus all the other bits that could be parted out if not directly usable by a bus nut (brakes, drums, bearings, pumpkin, etc. etc.) and throw in a handful of wiring and electrical items, and this thing is a steal for somebody who wants the power train.

Plus, there is also a "make offer" button.

CC had several uncompleted chassis lying around when they imploded, so I expect we'll see more of these come up...

Hmm.  You appear to be correct.  I had not noticed when I first looked that, apparently, the outer duals are missing from the drive axle.  I now see a fair number of lug nuts are missing, too -- there are just enough to hold the wheels on.  But all the studs seem to be there -- $10 apiece, last time I priced any, or $600 worth on this chassis.

Still a good deal, for someone who needs an ISM/B500 power train.  And six aluminum wheels is all many folks buy anyhow, with steels on the inners.

The six wheels are worth around $2k, and the G-670RV tires again that much.  Even if you used nothing else, having the chassis hauled off for scrap, that would mean you're only paying $26k for a brand new power train.

Sean, your right about the price that is a good price I have friend that bought one of the Blue Bird chassis and was thrilled to get a new C-13 and Allison for 32 grand and fwiw Cat and Allision both told him they would honor the warranty and there are so many parts to use plus they are all new.Fwiw if you guys need parts you may can cut a deal he paid 16,000 for those chassis

good luck
Life is short drink the good wine first

You could have a motorhome made from the chassis by a professional company.  Trying to make one yourself would be a nightmare trying to get it certified, registered, and insured.  Using the parts for a repower-now that's a great idea.  Well worth $30,000.00 (about the cost of the Allison and controls alone).  Good Luck, TomC
