 hi found a magellan tv ant off a gmc moterhome n-91-07 is on bottom anyone known anything about them ?
i friend gave me a archer boomerang ant. off a limo can i use one of these on bus for local tv ?

May work for strong local TV-but how often does that happen?  I swear by my batwing crank up antenna.  I know it looks ugly, but because you can rotate and aim it, you can often bring in weak signals.  Make sure you have your bus wired for cable TV also, since many RV parks offer cable TV.

One of the funniest sites I've seen, is when I went to Shaver Lake, Ca and stayed at Camp Edison.  Every campsite has at least 30 amp electricity and cable TV.  It just struck me funny to see tent campers with their TV's setup on upside down 5 gal buckets on the outside and watching TV.  Good Luck, TomC

What I think people are finding is the with the digital signals any antenna works - but the signals are less forgiving so a directional antenna has a better chance of optimizing a slightly marginal signal.  A good directional antenna will always beat a good omnidirectional antenna with low signal levels.  When I switched from a not so wonderful standard antenna to the crank up Winegard with the add-on digital thingy and amplifier, I went from one marginal digital station to about 40, in my driveway at home...

Amplifier, yes. Digital thingy is specific to a certain antenna.  In this case it is for a Wniegard Sensor II AKA "batwing" antenna.  Jack
