Can someone shed some light on this for me? My manual does not have any information, only 2 valve heads.

Thanks,

Paul

How can you tell if the heads are 4 valve or 2 valve without pulling a valve cover?

Maybe this will help to identify (as long as the heads are original to the block)

8V-71 was only made with 4 valve heads.  Good Luck, TomC

Luvrbus- you are right, I checked with Don Fairchild and some of the early 8V-71's did have 2 valve heads.  But-I bet there aren't too many left now.  Good Luck, TomC
