I didn't want to hijack Christy's wonderful thread about their new bus, but she said now 4 buses and not counting.

So who here has the most NON-COMMERCIAL buses (Sorry BK)?

A.  Complete and road worthy?

B.  Gliders?

C.  Parts only?

I lost count at one lol, but it's not a yard ornament, it gets on the road and travels with me, that has to carry a little weight, to have a field full of buses may create a sence of satisfaction cause he who dies with the most toys wins and it does make parts easier to find but to me a bus hiding behind a barn is a bus that another busnut isn't piling sawdust in or dreaming about going down the road, buses were meant to be run, not stored.  I think another catagory should be included as to how many buses in use a person has.

Tenor

For a brief few weeks, I had 2, and almost had a third.  One was on it's way out, the second was new to me and I have converted it.  The almost third was a parts bus for the second.  Confused yet?

Kyle, where are ya?  ;D

I have three 4104's and one MCI 9.

Those 4104's are easy to handle, easy to maintain and get good mpg.

Well from my expeirences restoring old cars, It is Less costly to use a donor parts cars to complete a project.

My 68 5303 Fishbowl is the recepient of all the good stuff. :)

I bought Fishbowl Brians 5305 for the Jakes, 8V71, tires,  and all the inside conversion stuff. ( now just a storage Bus)

I bought a 5307 for the V730 transmission and the 22.5 rims stripped it completly for all usuable switches, tanks, valves hauled the carcus to scrap yard.

Then along came a local Transit bus  5307 that was involved in a accident that had a completely rebuilt power train  with less that 80,000 KM  Transit manager tipped me off the insurance company was selling :):)

Then Dallas forced me :) to buy the  fully converted 1947 MCI Courier 200 that was on e'bay.  Now it gets all the unused modern stuff rims tires etc...

So that is two on the road and two donors :)

So John, how is it the MCI makes the cut for your avatar and not one of those wonderful 4104 GMC's? Inquiring minds want to know.
