Thanks for the heads up all! The folks @ a-1 are going to cut me a deal on some basic checkovers so i'm prolly going with them

Bryanhes- My reasoning for having the rack run is I have no hill climbing power period...I've replaced my fuel filters 3 yes 3 times in less then 3k and it's proven no avail my 6v92ta doesn't smoke a bit and i'm running out of theories....the smallest of grades take me to 30mph. Otherwise runs GREAT! go figure...being i don't have any 2 stroke buddies to look @ it with me and my limited exp with a DD i would just assume leave this in the pro's hands if my budget can stand it. Although anyone wanting to take a wack @ it is welcome too!

I think the folks at A1 Diesel are good folks. The owner David, has many years of experience and owns a nice Eagle with 6V92TA. I don't think running the rack will make much difference in your power. If your engine is not electronic and being a 1985 it's probably not. If not check to make sure you're getting wide open throttle at the engine, it's a simple thing that gets overlooked. If you need help you can call 615 210 4983 I'm just outside of Nashville on the Chattanooga side.

Just curious have you tried changing the air filter??

If you have a tach you can check to see if it's reaching full throttle in a no load flat road by just holding it wide open and checking your rpm's. It should be governed to around 2100 rpm's.

Most def changed the air filter....  Everthing obvious has been checked and or done however my knowledge of heavy duty dd's I have yet to venture Into the fuel delivery or timing system of my home on wheels :)

I'd like to say something to myself about my previous post.

You dummy, of course it's a mechanical engine or it wouldn't have a rack to run. Ned, you should have made fun of me.
