If you want to bring it over Monteagle to Chattanooga, the Choo Choo Express Garage will run the rack for $650.  And if there is anything else you want done, their shop rate is $55/hr.  Joel and Mr. Bowen are very experienced with 2-strokes.

Call them at 706-891-1242 or 423-260-1290

I-24E to I-75S, stay in right lane (exit lane) which will take you off 75 on Exit 1 westbound onto Ringgold Road.

Transition to left lane of Ringgold road asap and make left at first traffic light (Mack Smith Road).

Go south on Mack Smith Road about a mile and a half.  Just past the Holiday Travel Park there is a strong "S" curve.  Half way through it there is a right turn onto Prater Road.  Take it.  Shop is one block on the left.

There is a truck place there that replaced a fuel pump for me several years ago I think the name is Blackwood or Black something or the other.
FWIW if you good access to the top of the engine 4 hrs should more than cover having the injectors and rack ran

Joel said similar (4-6 hours) but also noted that on many buses, there is not good clear access to both sides and that is what can make it take considerably longer.  If the Neoplan Endeavor has ample space in the "engine room" then it could be significantly less than $650 because that is assuming the expected challenges getting access.

Mike,
Glad to hear your back. And I agree that Joel and Mr. Bowen are very experienced in 2 strokes!
(I would say Mr. Bowen probably cut his teeth on a 2 stroke, but I don't think the 2 stroke was around that long ago! ;D)

As far as the directions go, usually coming off the ramp in a bus it is difficult at best to make it over to the turn lane to make that first left.

So what I do is head west on Ringgold road and get over left after the light and turn onto Prater Rd. off Ringold and follow it down to the left curve where the "Choo Choo Garage" is on the right. FWIW YMMV! ;)

That way works too!

I've never had trouble getting to the left lane though.  I guess it just depends on the time of day and how much traffic.  If the light is green for the ramp, then you can just come straight off the ramp and go straight to the left lane.  I've actually had more trouble with the Prater Road left turn due to traffic backing up from the traffic lights.

But it is nice to have more than one way to get there.

ekhedge,

Are you having a running issue? Just curious why you are wanting to have the rack run?
