Does anyone know where I can get the trim (4-5 pieces) for the Entrance Door for a one-piece door for a MC9 or MC8 (I was told they are interchangeable)?  I salvaged the one-piece door from a scrap bus, but didn't know the trim for the two-piece door, which I am replacing, is different than the one-piece door until after the bus was sent to the scrap yard.  Apparently the one-piece door trim is wider and the two-piece door trim will not work with the one-piece door.

The one piece door will be easier to open and close when I come home with a bag of groceries etc., and should produce less wind noise.  My door leaks quite a bit.  If anyone knows what is involved in this, any suggested are appreciated.

Gary, I changed my 5 to a door from a 9. I made the same mistake, and did not get the trim. I revamped my trim and bought a different type of seal. It works fine but I did not keep track of what I did. It was a lot cheaper than buying the right trim.  Tom Y

I got mine from MCI, I don't remember the price but it wasn't that bad. Jason

Has anyone dealt with "Complete Coach Works" in Riverside, CA?  I think they used to go by the name "Transit Sales".  I have called them several times over the past couple of months asking if they have this door trim and they never return my phone calls.  The last time I called was yesterday and the assured me they would call back today, but they never did.

I have left several voice mail messages and also talked to people there who always say they will get back to me.  Does anyone know if this is a reputable company or some fly-by-night organization as they appear?  I will need a lot of bus parts to fix up this old bus and need a good source.

Or, can anyone recommend another used bus parts supplier in southern CA?

MCI wants over $500 for these 4-5 pieces of trim which I think is outrageous.

I changed mine last year and one of the seals got bent. I believe for the rear piece (facing the door), it was between 200 and 300 from Luke. Ill be doing like others have and comming up with my own trim/seal. As a side note, I absolutly don't miss the split door at all !

The stock door trim isn't rocket science.

Check one out and then Magyver something out of the big box store or local door hardware jobber.

You just need a bit of rubber to touch all the way around.

happy coaching!
